Hair struggles
I’ve always struggled with my hair (well, since puberty) because the hormonal changes caused my hair to go from thin and straight to thick and wavy. It’s not “pretty” wavy either. Just all over the place and FRIZZY!! When it’s about half dry, it looks gorgeous. As soon as it gets past that point though, it’s frizzy and ugly.
I do have it lightened, but not much and it’s always been done professionally. My hairstylist is amazing. And she uses Wellaplex every time to avoid as much damage as possible.
With this quarantine crap going on, I can’t go in to her obviously and I’m hoping some people having some advice on how to get my natural hair to be more manageable. I haven’t used heat on it at all in over 7 months. I use Biolage for frizzy hair, and I have a vegan/pure deep conditioner that I use twice a week.
I do wash my hair every day - I know, it’s horrible. My problem is my hair is super greasy at the scalp and then dry from about my jaw line down. I’ve tried not washing it every day but it just grosses me out.
So...since I can’t talk to my hair stylist for the time being, anyone have any product recommendations for what I described? I know I have always read that frizz is the result of not enough moisture but I don’t know how to fix that since a deep conditioner and moisturizing shampoo are doing absolutely nothing. Please help a girl out. The only way I can go without using heat on my hair right now (which I’m avoiding because I am trying to grow my hair longer and don’t want damage) is either putting my hair in a pony tail or packing it so full of mousse that it crunches (cringe 😬)
