Has anyone discovered any tricks for getting baby to sleep in the crib?

Or any items that help them fall asleep (would take them out if the crib once baby is asleep)

My son doesn’t sleep well in his crib. As soon as he touches the crib he rolls to his belly and picks his head up to look around. No matter if he’s put in the crib wide awake, sleepy, or totally asleep.

He can’t self soothe

And when he tries to get himself to sleep he can’t because he just continuesly rolls back and forth and grabs his face and paci.

He also likes to scratch me or my husband while he falls asleep, maybe someone knows of an item that is made for this purpose?
