Soooo I need some advice if I should let this guy know I’m interested in him or nah..

We are currently taking the same college class and I noticed him but I’ve never really talked to him until about a month ago. (When we switched to online classes) He was really friendly and we talked all the time and he was always asking me to hang out. But he was out of town so we weren’t able to hang out right away. However, once he came back we kind of starting talking a little less and he wasn’t messaging me with the same interest. I felt like now I was the one who was trying to carry on the convo.

But you know I stuck with it and we ended up hanging out about 2 times. The 2nd time we hung out I said that I had a boyfriend. (was a mistake 😭) My boyfriend and I actually broke up a couple days before i started talking to the new guy... and I wasn’t able to correct myself and after that we haven’t really been talking at all! So I’m not sure if I should let him know that I am single and I am kind of interested in him.. or what do you think I should do??

Also, he does have other girls who are friends? that he hangs out with.. so maybe I’m just another girl to him lol but I would definitely like your opinion and if you have any questions to better understand my situation, please let me know!
