How much would/did you spend on your child’s 1st birthday presents?

I got her a book for her first birthday🤷‍♀️ she has no clue what was going on, she gets what she needs throughout the year, and she got a ton of stuff from family. To me there was no sense in going overboard on a birthday she won’t remember.

I probably spend $200-300 on some smaller toys, a kitchen set, and a cedar wood playhouse. Her grandparents gave her $500 for presents.

I knitted him a woolsweater, so it took a long time and the yarn was about £50. The rest of his family got him plenty of gifts so didn't see the point of getting him even more things.

We typically spend about $100 for bdays/xmas per person. Same with our lo, they get 1 big present from us and a ton of little gifts from friends/family
