I got my industrial piercing a little over 5 years ago. It has never stopped hurting. After the 2 year mark the hurting just turned into soreness unless I slept on it too long or hit it, then it would be painful for a week or so.

Now for the past few months I wake up some mornings and it's very swollen, red, and hot with crusted blooded. And will stay that way for a few days before settling. Then after I think I'm all clear it'll come back.

Is there any way to make this sucker heal?

I've been avoiding removing it because I have an ugly keloid as a result of the piercing and the ball covers it pretty well.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!
