Clear blue Digital smears?

So I just got a box of clearblue advanced digital ovulation tests. I’ve taken two tests so far. And both came back negative. And when I took the test strip out, it had blue smears on it. Both of them. 
What is going on? Help pleaseee !

The digital ones you can’t go by just the dye because of the way the test is built - you have to use the digital reader. If you want to use the cheap ones that just go by the dye lines choose a pink dye test like easy@home or pregmate.

I’m also on clomid. So I thought I would be ovulating in the next three days.. so I’m just feeling super stressed about it.
