For those planning to breastfeed past a year, do you work?

I’m planning to breastfeed as long as possible, hopefully up to a year or longer and I do work full time. I supplement with formula and have her entire life now. I don’t have the best supply so I give 1-2 formula bottles a day usually. So when I go back to work next week I’m sure my husband will be formula feeding mostly, I do have some frozen breastmilk so we’ll see if he’ll use that instead but it’s harder for him since it has to thaw. But I’m hoping that when I’m at work I can pimp enough to build a stash of breast milk to primarily give her that. I’m just trying to do my best to give her as much breast milk as I can for as long as I can. But at the end of the day, fed is best and I’m not gonna stress it. That’s not good for me or baby.

Answer

I breastfed my first to age 2.5 years. It gets more low key as time goes on. Especially after they start really eating food. And you can say no when you feel like it once they pass 12 mos.
