Seasoned food or plain?

Najlaa

When giving babies food does anyone season it or just give it plain? Like if I want to give my baby potatoes, peas, carrots, apples with cinnamon etc. Natural spices of course, not sugars and no honey just yet.

Our doctor said to start off basic and to feed the same food for at least a few days to make sure of no food allergy or aversion. I’m not gonna add any spices until she is well established into solids and I am confident she does not have any basic aversions or allergies.

I did it plain with my first until after they had tried everything and introduced one seasoning at a time so that if she had a reaction I would know what it was from. I didn’t season much because for most veggies over here we eat them plain🤷🏻‍♀️

Yes you can season their food! The book I’m currently reading.

I love this book! I recommend it especially for all FTM and making your own baby food. The Big Book of Organic Baby Food.

I was told no honey. A baby can have literally all things but honey per my pediatrician. I also give him his food plain.
