Age Gap: Thoughts?

How big of a gap is too big in your opinion? 
As someone who is in a relationship with a sizable gap, I don’t mind it, but I’m wondering what others would think. My current boyfriend and I have a gap of 12 years- and I haven’t told my family about him yet. We’ve been together for over a year now and I do truly love him and connect so well with him.

I like dating people close to the same age as me. As long as everyone in other relationships are adults and were ALREADY adults when attraction started, then I don’t judge. If you’re 25 dating an newly 18 year old and been waiting for them to be legal, that’s fucking gross.

My parents (66/57) are 9 years apart, my brother (36) and his fiancé (49) are 13, my sister (35) and BIL (46) are 11 and my husband (32) and I (27) are 5! I wouldn’t want an age gap as large as others in my family, but I’m not discouraged or bothered by it. It works for some people and that’s all that matters!

My personal boundary is up to 4 years older, 5 if I am pushing it. Anything older is waaay to old for me. I’m only 18 and there is absolutely no reason for me to be dating a guy who is 25 and older right now.

I'm not a fan of extreme age gaps myself (I think my max would be 10 years). I don't think it's appropriate for a teen- early 20's to be dating someone 25/30+ years older than them, personally.
But I mean otherwise you do you. Big age gaps can work, I've seen it in my own family (my grandfather (not biologically) was only six years older than my dad, and the same age as my uncle).
