I’ll try to keep it short. So I was due 4/27/20. I was already 3cm dilated & 79% effaced as of 35 weeks gestation. Had my bright red bloody show on Wednesday (4/15) @ 1:30PM. After that I began passing large amounts of my mucus plug all day Wednesday (4/15) & all day Thursday (4/16), tinged & streaked with darker red blood. On Thursday (4/16), I decided to set up her nursery since baby seemed close. (We had just closed on our new house on 4/9 so I didn’t have a nursery to set up prior to). So I painted, vacuumed, shampooed carpets, set up crib, changing table, etc.

Cooked dinner, took a bath & had sex afterward with SO around 11:30PM. He came inside me. I got super bad cramps & painful contractions immediately after sex at exactly 12:39AM that I noted my first contraction. The contractions started at 8 minutes apart & then got to about 4 minutes apart within the hour. Called the on call doctor after an hour at 1:39AM, & she said go to the hospital as pains wouldn’t go away with drinking water, emptying bladder, laying down, sitting up or walking around. Called my parents to pick up my daughter & left to the hospital around 2AM. Got to the hospital around 3AM & contractions were 2-3 minutes apart & VERY PAINFUL. Progressed to 5cm dilated in two hours while being monitored. At that point I was admitted & got moved to L&D at 5AM. Got situated in L&D & received the epidural at 7AM. Pitocin drip started at 8am. — At this point I hadn’t slept & was up for 24 hours straight as I woke up early to do the nursery & never got to sleep after sex lol. — Took a nap for an hour cause I needed SOME sleep 😬. Then woke up around 1AM. Water broke on its own at 11:30AM. They checked me at 11:50AM & she was engaged at 0 station, 100% effaced & 8cm dilated. At 1:23PM I was checked again & I was 10cm & her head was already descending into my vagina, & it was time to push! I had her at exactly 1:30PM in 4/17. 7 minutes of pushing & she was here! 🤗

This is baby number 2. She has a 6 year old big sister at home, Malayla Grace, who is so so excited to meet her. 💋
