Okay mommas. I’ve heard so many different things from people & I know it’s controversial but out of genuine curiosity.. what are your thoughts/opinions on smoking weed during pregnancy? Not saying I am going to, but I want to hear everyone’s opinions and what they have heard/experienced.

low birth weight
premature birth
small head circumference
small length
stillbirth

While I was in visiting the ob I overheard the head dr talking to her student after she had come to her about a patient that smokes weed, they were worried about her baby because she smoked weed, here in Australia they will report pregnant women to the state child services, as well as try to get them Into programs to them to quit.

I work in a fertility clinic. We tell our patients to stop smoking weed and vaping at least three months before trying to conceive and to absolutely NOT smoke during pregnancy.

I would saying inhaling anything or any kind is generally bad. As far as eating...I think there have been so few studies on weed because it hasnt been legal long, and only semi legal at that, that we dont really know effects. Considering we camt even take any pain meds except tylenol o wouldnt be surprised if weed might have an effect, dont know whether it is negative or not tho. But you are taking something that can effect the mind, blood stream,  etc.. and while something is developing a brain and it's own blood stream is feeding off you. I am not against weed, my mom is a grower! But I wouldnt trust it when preggo. We got a pretty sensitive little critter in our bellies!

Oh heck no. 
The moment I see that positive sign on a test weed stops, wine stops, etc. 
If my doctor says don't do it I don't do it, easy as that. (OK except I definitely eat to much junk food 😆)

Not a chance in hell. I feel so sad when people say they smoke weed and their baby is “fine”, because not only are they not qualified to determine that, but it’s the LONG term development they aren’t considering. Maybe your baby was born with 10 fingers and 10 toes but will have a speech impediment or a learning disability that won’t be noticeable for years after birth. I’ve smoked for 15 years but stopped before our IUI treatments and couldn’t imagine making my baby pay for my bad choices. I want my kid to have every advantage in life.

I wouldn’t do anything like drugs (any kind), alcohol, overly unhealthy habits (suntanning booths etc) etc while pregnant. However I do eat the occasionally deli meat and that kind of stuff in moderation, I’d that makes sense. But wouldn’t do something that could potentially have drastic negative effects on my child.
