How are you with your baby names? Do you keep them a secret till the baby is born or do you tell everyone about it?

I keep it a secret, since the birth of my daughter, my husbands cousin had a daughter 2 moths before me and named her my baby name! I was upset to say the least.

We keep it to ourselves because it is our choice and we don't want opinions.

My husband blabbed to a couple of people but I refused to tell anyone any of the names on our lists because I didn't want anyone's opinions.

We told everyone so that they could get any negative opinions out of their system before the baby actually arrived. I didn’t want to hear anything negative about my choice once my baby was here.

We only told my family because we are naming him after my Uncle who recently passed away. Nothing to argue with there, but with future children I’m going to keep it to myself cuz I don’t want people’s opinions, but it’s hard to have a negative opinion when I’m naming him after a deceased relative.

My kids have pretty uncommon names, so we waited til after they were born to reveal it. That way (in our experience atleast) you get less judgemental comments and no one can try and change your mind.

We were keeping it to ourselves but my boyfriend told his mom what we were THINKING of naming her, and of course she went out and told absolutely everyone sooooo I guess that name is the chosen one now 🙄

I always spill the beans, everyone that knows me knows I couldn't give a flying fig what their opinions on them are so makes no odds to me 👌🏾😂
I also like putting it out there so no one else can then use it and say they didn't know 👌🏾
I told one of my girlfriends our baby girls name and a short while late when she was pregnant she mentioned the name we had... I pulled up "exhibit A" from a previous conversation we'd had over WhatsApp with me clearly stating it's the name we'd chosen 😂
She didn't have a leg to stand on 😂👌🏾

I’ve discussed baby names with my brother and sister (sister and I three weeks apart, both due September), but we haven’t nailed down which exact name yet. We have a few top picks and will likely choose after meeting baby🥰 So... have told top choices to a select few, but am not fully committed. 
I’d be livid if I confided in someone and they stole the name I chose, though, that’s super low.

With our first we kept it a secret, with our second we told people, but then my aunt used our baby name so we had to change it. Now if we have anymore kids we'll definitely keep their names as a surprise.
