Did your doctor make you wait a year for help with TTC?

I’m very curious about this. Most websites say to seek help after 6 months if you are over 35, and one year if you are under 35. I am 24. We have not been trying for a year yet, but I am going to my routine gynecologist appointment soon. Do you think there’s any chance they may be willing to go ahead and prescribe something like Clomid or consider me for an IUI if I talk to them about it? We know we are timing intercourse right. We’re using Preseed. We’re both healthy for the most part and a healthy weight, both 24, so it’s frustrating that we’re struggling. I do not want to go through a full year of heartbreak to get help if they will go ahead and help me now! I do have longer and somewhat irregular cycles. I would say on average they’re about 33 days apart, but they can vary anywhere from like 31-38ish days. I really think I could benefit from something like Clomid that could help ensure I’m ovulating and possibly help me ovulate more than one egg per cycle to increase my chances.
