Has anyone started weaning bottles and/or formula?

I’m a first time mom and I honestly forgot that I should start planning how to wean bottles and formula. Has anyone started or have you done it with previous children and have any tips or tricks that worked for you?

I plan on starting 2 weeks before she turns 1. She currently drinks 6 bottles. We’re gonna take away 1 bottle, wait 2 days, take away the 2nd bottle, wait another 2 days, take the 3rd one, wait 3 days, take away the 4th one, wait another 3 days, take away the 5th one, & then after another 3 days, take away the last one. We will also be increasing her solid feedings to include snacks, & we’ll be switching her to whole milk.

My son hasn’t put on any weight in 2-3 months. He’s still wearing the same size clothes he was at 6 months... So I’m still maintaining his formula amount and trying to offer more solids. I thought I’d start the transition to whole milk at 11.5 months to have him completely weaned by 1 year but now I’m going to wait and talk to his doctor to make sure he’s getting enough nutrients and that he’s ready for the switch.

We don’t use the bottle anymore, we switched to a sippy cup with formula cold turkey when she turned 11 months. I just offered it to her in a cup to see how she did and she did great, she hasn’t taken a bottle since. We are still giving her formula every 3-3.5 hours like normal, on top of 3 meals a day. She has dropped from 6 ounces a feed to closet to 4 ounces a feed, but since I’m a first time mom and dont know how to wean formula and make sure she’s not starving I’m waiting for her 1 year appointment to discuss that with her doctor

He self-weaned one bottle a month ago. I’m not going to do anything until after his birthday. With my first I slowly replaced the formula in his bottles with milk and he quit bottles because he haaaates milk lol I don’t think it’ll be as easy this time. But I will probably start the same way, slowly replacing formula with milk and not warming the milk.
