My husband and I went through our first <a href="https://glowing.com/glow-fertility-program">IVF</a> in 2018 and were blessed with a baby girl! She is 10 months old💗 We plan to do another round hopefully this year (will schedule a consult after my daughter turns 1) So I assume we will have to do the testing all over and it’ll take a while to actually get started. I just turned 32 and my husband will be 43 this summer, another reason we don’t want to wait too long. So our first <a href="https://glowing.com/glow-fertility-program">IVF</a> went very well, UNTIL after retrieval/fertilization. I responded well to the meds, had 29 mature eggs retrieved, his sample was good, no issues- and then we got a call the next morning that NONE fertilized naturally and it was so devastating. We didn’t do ICSI our Dr said we didn’t need it. OBVIOUSLY we know better for the next round. We ended up with 1 frozen blast, not PGS tested and that’s our daughter! Nothing leftover so we will have to start from the beginning and I’m hoping it will go better and hopefully my egg reserve is still ok after 2 years. So I started taking some vitamins on my own, and it might sound like a stupid question but is it ok to take COQ10 without discussing first? I’m sure it only helps! I’ve read great things. I also take vitamin D and C, folic acid and prenatal. I also have my hubby take vitamins. We still do not know what exactly happened and if we are looking at an egg or sperm issue?! That’ll be my first question when we do follow up! Any other vitamins we should be taking that you recommend?? Thank you!🙂

Side note- my husband was never diagnosed with anything, but the “volume” was on lower side. But I guess what was there was normal. It was never super high but okay, usually between 11-20 mil? They never really said we had an issue which is why it was so shocking when we had none fertilize. The Dr just said egg and sperm weren’t communicating, wasn’t penetrating. Wasn’t funny at the time but NOW we joke about how his sperm is just like him- NO sense of direction 🙄 I just want to be better prepared!
