Moms of girls! Hair questions!

Anybody using those little hair ties on their girl's hair? I'm afraid she'll pull them out and eat/choke on them or pull a chunk of hair out. Same with hair clippies. Headbands are fine but they never stay in her hair with how much she moves now. Her bangs are getting long, almost down to her eyebrows now. Trying to figure out what I should do safely with her wild hair!
