I'm just curious to know if anyone's ever had an affair? What is it like. Did you get caught? Did u fall in love with the other party?

It never worked out well for me, they always chose their girlfriends over me. I then learnt that I’m worth a lot more than being somebody’s toy and always being left ‘heartbroken’ 
It’s toxic behaviour pursuing unavailable men. 
My ex cheated on me for 3 years on and off with the same girl. We were together for 6 years and he is now with the girl he cheated on me with - I suppose that affair worked out for him? I think he is happy and honestly - I hope now that he is happy and that all the heartbreak was worth it. 
He did get caught, it was a horrible situation and it made us both very mentally unwell for a long time. 
Please think of the girlfriend/wife, they often think they are in happy relationships unaware this is happening.
