Should my period be this long?

I’ve been on 2 types of bc, a pill and now a shot every three months. I’m 15 and I’ve been on my period for 140 days straight. I’m not allowed to have bc with a lot of estrogen because of family health issues. Is there another birth control I could ask my doctor of trying the next time I see her?

When I was on the shot I bled for 6 months straight. Decided to get the IUD and the bleeding stopped immediately

May I ask why are you on bc? If you're having sexual relationship then definitely look for another form, maybe even the copper iud.
But if you're not having sex, I would recommend getting off it just to give your body a rest because bc pills AND shot is a lot for a 15 year old /: I hope all goes well
