I found moving in together and dealing with bills more of a toll on our relationship. Our son has never put a roll on it it’s only made us stronger. I was always told a kid will make or break your relationship and i’m glad our son made it even better

We were so strong in the beginning, however, this has taught us to be more patient with each other and I think we are closer because of it.

I don't think having kids ever changed anything for the relationship with each other. It has changed how we do things in our house. It could also be due to the fact that we never lived together until after we were married. We already had 2 kids by that point.

It has blessed us in so many unimaginable ways and also given us new challenges that we had to work through and learn from together. Our communication skills have improved even more now that we have a young child because we just don't have the time to sit and talk uninterrupted for hours like we used to. I can't imagine doing this with anyone other than my husband that's for sure.

Having kids will amplify whatever is true in the relationship already. The great things will be amplified. The things that were on the rocks will feel even more so. 
Above all, a baby is not a bandaid for a shitty situation.
