How long would you wait to move in with your SO after being together?

I always end up staying with people before a year, but I don't mind living apart, I think I prefer it in many ways. 
I'm staying with my boyfriend during the quarantine. It was such a good choice!! We've been together 9 months.
I think I would wait a very long time to actually get a place together. I've never signed a lease with any of my previous partners.
One of my ex's coerced me into staying at his parents house 4 months in because he was scared I'd cheat. He was abusive. 
The other ex was lonely after his wife leaving earlier that year and I wanted to help him out, and it seemed like we'd have a good time. I started staying a week before we were official, lol. We did have a good time, until he turned out to be a crazy lying asshole.
So, it's just nice to be with someone sweet and honest. Im only staying temporarily, though. I am going to be on my own at some point again.

We moved in within like a month of dating BUT we knew each other for 8 years before getting together so he wasn’t a brand new person to me. I think it depends on the people & the stability of the relationship.

So my hubby and I moved in together just shy of 6 months but it was do to extenuating circumstances, he water heater broke causing a pipe to burst so he needed to live with me until it was fixed, it took 2 months but by then he didn't want to go back. However I do think people should wait a little longer, but not too long. I was with my ex for 4 years before I moved in with him and 6 months after I did I was DONE! I could NOT live with him.

We met and started going out pretty much the same day, and then moved in together 5 months later! :) Best decision ever, we have a beautiful family and a beautiful life and we're best friends.

It varies in each relationship. I've been with some guys over a year and wouldn't feel comfortable moving in with them while with my husband we moved in together at 9 months
