Doppler?

Hi, given the COVID situation, I’m sure many of you are in the same boat as me where you’re either having appts cancelled or having virtual appts instead. Since you’re not able to hear your baby’s heartbeat via a Doppler at the doctors office, have any of you bought your own Doppler to use? I hear mixed reviews of the pros and cons of using a at home Doppler. Is it dangerous for the baby?

I have one and use it once a week. I havent had a doc appointment since week 6.

I bought one. They recommend you don’t use it more than once a week because there hasn’t been a lot of research of the safety of frequent use.

I bought a Sonoline B Doppler at 10 weeks (now 16w) and have used it about once a week or less. My baby doesn’t like it and I can hear him trying to wiggle away from it, so regardless if it’s totally safe or not, I don’t want to stress him out by using it a lot.

Not dangerous for the baby. Concerns are if it hasnt been found on a doppler before or if you have issues finding the heartbeat you will panic. I had a friend mail me one, but she offered it. The last couple days I had some bad cramping and doppler arrived today, immediately used it and found HB. I am 14wks.

I have Sonoline b and I use it every morning. I’ve researched into it and many have used it daily and my doctors weren’t concerned.
