Anyone got a minute to help

Jess • 👼 👶 👼 🤰🏻

I have had 2 miscarriages so am very scared during this pregnancy. I’m 13+3 and woke up today with a lot of discomfort and pressure in my uterus. I don’t know if I should be worried or if it’s normal stretching pain. I do not want to risk be over dramatic and go to hospital during this pandemic because my hospital has the highest rate of Covid in our country. Any advice please?

Round ligament pains are alarming - almost like a stabbing feeling. If you can lay down on your side it will help. Pains can be very normal. With my first baby, around 14-15 weeks it literally felt like my tailbone was broken. The worst! As long as it’s not severe cramping and you don’t have bleeding then you’re probably ok! Don’t hesitate to call your doctor or nurse advice line though to ask if you ever have worries!

It sounds like you might be experiencing round ligament pains which can hurt a good amount. Our 1st son was after 2 losses also. I started getting cramping, pulling pains around 13 weeks and called the doctors office because I thought I was miscarrying again. It was definitely scary. Sending you love! And if ever you're concerned it's always good to call the doctor. That's what they are there for. Don't worry about sounding silly or being annoying to them. It's literally their job to help you through your pregnancy. My doctor even made a point to tell me if I felt I needed a virtual appointment between now and my next in office to set on up and she would make it happen.n

Completely normal. You'll feel stretching, pressure, cramps and aches as your baby grows and uterus expands.

Can you call up and speak to them over the phone to see if they recommend coming in? Definitely normal to get those types of pains but if you're worried you should at least speak to them to get some peace of mind 🙂

I’ve been having period like cramps and then when I do a few days later I notice my bump grow a little bit more. I think it’s just our bodies stretching. I’ve also read a lot about round ligament pain.... I’ve sneezed a few times and felt TERRIBLE stabbing pain in my lower belly.... apparently it’s all normal. A home Doppler has eased my worries so much
