First name Ava middle name Grace - too common?

Yes. I find it incredibly generic. Ava is #3 in the UK and the US; Grace is standard ‘filler’ as a middle name, though I get it if it’s a family name.
It’s not bad, and Ava is pretty, so if you like it, go for it. Just don’t be surprised or upset if she goes to school with another Ava Grace (or three).

Ava is very popular but that shouldn’t matter if you really love the name. As far as Grace, it’s just super generic. When in doubt just slap on Grace, Rose, Marie, ect. there’s no flavor to it like where’s the seasoning ?  Its just bland

i say who cares unless you do.. i know 12 years ago when i was 19  and decided on the name ava i ran into one ava while i was pregnant and then the past 5 years its just everywhere it’s almost like the name ashley now and i wish i could go back and find something else i’m ok with other people having the name of course i’m not that unique but still wouldn’t want a super common name i’m even finding my second daughters name more than before so

I love the name. My daughter’s middle name is Grace and while a ton of other girls have that as a middle name, none of them actually use it on a daily basis. She’s Nora Grace and actually goes by that, which makes her the only one using Grace, at least around her friends/school. So while some may say Grace is just an add on middle name, middle names typically don’t matter on a daily basis, it’s just now as we plan and as we announce baby. Also, as popular as Ava is, I can say we don’t have any that I know of in our area. None in my friend group or in my daughter’s school. I say go for it - it’s beautiful!!
