Pacifier/sucking empty bottle

My baby is 7 months old. I never wanted to start her off with pacifiers but I gave it at the hospital and gave her one.. Now she’s obviously addicted to it and uses it as a relief. (Can’t find the right word lol) lately she hasn’t really been sucking it. She plays a lot and is so busy getting into the things and trying to crawl. Which is fantastic BUT she acts as if she needs it at night when she’s sleepy. She can fall asleep and she will wake up for it.. so my SO started giving her a bottle before bed and she sucks it til empty.. the thing is she KEEPS sucking.. if I take it from her she cry’s and I hate it bc it’s a way for her to be calm. I know babies aren’t suppose to be sucking just air but that’s seems to be the only thing that will keep her quiet to fall asleep.. Idk what else to do. any tips?
