First day of period or not?

Usually the day before AF arrives, I get brown like discharge/spotting. Is this considered the first day of my period? Or is the first day when there's actual blood?

Okay, sweet deal. I usually never count the spotting as my first day but I didn't know if I was doing it wrong - I didn't want my calendar to be thrown off. Thanks everyone :)

I am the same way, spotting for the first 1-2 days and then full flow. I always consider the first day of actual bleeding to be my period.

I'm the same way. I count mine as the day after when I truly start bleeding.

I count the minute anything that starts the cycle. Unless it's like 1130pm and I see the first little spot. Then I skip to next day obviously but ya any spotting u can log and it puts it on calendar
