Announcing pregnancy?

Question

I'm curious who is planning on announcing their pregnancy, and when. Some people do on Facebook, or send announcement to family/friends. I'm going to be 12 weeks on Tuesday. We've only told some close friends and family. We aren't sure if we are going to do a mass announcement or if we will just continue to tell individuals. Even at 12 weeks I'm still not totally ready for everyone to know!

I am 12w4 and I haven't put in on Facebook! My SO does not like social media! Our families know! Will be telling my extended family 11/21! My brother was murdered 5 years ago,11/22/10! We are having a get together 11/21 in honor of him and will celebrate my news the same day! We wil also know the gender by then thanks to bloodwork, if we are having a boy, we are naming him Charles after my brother!

I was supposed to tell people 3 weeks ago. ... oops lol . I'm 4 months but you can't tell. I'm really debating on just showing up to a family function pregnant lol

My first  pregnancy i told everyone right away. I had a miscarriage at 7Weeks. my second pregnancy told my mom and dad sadly i had another miscarriage at 7weeks. My 3rd pregnancy i told my mom,dad,grandma  and aunt. Facebook at 9weeks.  And now i have a 4 month old daughter. My 4th pregnancy i didn't tell anyone sadly i had a miscarriage at 6w1d

I did it at 15 weeks because I didn't feel or look really pregnant until then and it freaked me out to take the chance before.

I didn't tell anyone not even friends until after my 13 week ultrasound. So after the us is when we told our close family and friends. And then at 18 weeks I posted a photo on Facebook and that was pretty much our announcement. And the only reason I announced it then was because my mom wanted to post the photo for her friends to see so I figured It was time. It was a photo of me, my sister, and our sister in law all with our bumps. We are clearly all pregnant and all about 2 months from each other. My announcement was that photo with a caption that read "party of 6 coming soon.."

We told our close family right away and announced on Facebook after our 8 week appointment. We decided we'd need the support if something tragic happened and wanted to share the joy. I wouldn't say that I was "ready" but all the love was really gratifying.

We told family and close friends around 12 weeks (it happened to be right around Christmas time), my husband put something on Facebook around 20 weeks when we had our anatomy scan, and I put something vague on Facebook around 24 weeks, obvious at 28 weeks.

I was like you I had only told close friends and immediate family. Then at 4 months we told our extended family. At 5 months we announced it on Facebook.  As much as I didn't want to do that I felt like people were still going to find out might as well find out through me...
