Choking hazard?!

Question

I just gave my son these today for first time. My son has no teeth but I read they dissolve really quick except he sticks it in his mouth and breaks off huge chunks. I literally had to scoop it out of his mouth and throat bc it was such a big piece!!! Has this happened to anyone else? 
I don’t get how many others here are feeding these to their babies or other things like eggs, spaghetti, how?!

Just remember there is a difference in gagging and choking!

When you see pictures of little ones getting spaghetti, eggs, etc that is very likely baby lead weaning. Where baby eats what you eat, in bigger pieces and feeds themselves (if you've not heard of it look it up. It's very interesting and kind of cool but not personally for me!)
I was going to buy these for my little guy but then I think the box said it recommended they crawl before giving these to them, but I'm sure if they are dissolving quick enough your LO will be just fine! Gagging is ok, choking is not 🥰

I remember that happening with my first child. I think it’s more of a 9 month food. Along with puffs. I give my baby toast in the morning cut into finger length strips but these do not melt that fast. Try one yourself.

Hey hun, it can be scary watching them figure out bigger food, but as above I'd def check out the difference between gagging and choking.
If not choking it can be more dangerous for you to go in and try and take the food from their mouth, as this can actually cause them to choke!
Sometimes you need to wait a few and give them a chance to figure it out for themselves, babies have a great gag reflex and it's how they learn what they can and can't manage.

We started giving our daughter these last month. Everytime you try something new it does worry you. My husband worries all the time, but I’m always watching her eat just in case. I recently started giving her the puffs, and she fits great with them.

My daughter is 6 months old and we use that brand never had a Problem *touch wood! we love them!!!

My baby choked the first time but now he holds it & can eat it better, he crunches it with his 2 little teeth lol i havent fed him anything else besides these, baby food & rice cereal though.

When I gave them to my daughter, she ate off a big piece too but it dissolved before anything happened. She did start coughing and that freaked me out and I was ready to go in and help her but she worked through it. I also give her water with them to help dissolve even quicker 
(We have the Walmart brand so I’m not sure if they are the exact same)
