Hey all! Its been a while since I've been on here, been a busy few months. My son just turned 1!! And at our 12 month well-check visit my doc said at this age babies can usually say ma-ma, da-da, and one other word. She didn't seem too concerned that mine isn't saying any words yet as he's hitting all his other milestones but I am overbearingly obsessed that he's not talking. This is our first so we didn't know he should be. He can say mama and dada but its not intentional and clearly has no meaning to him. But he WILL NOT repeat anything we say. We keep trying to encourage imitation and he just smiles/giggles or completely ignores us. Is anyone else's babes talking, not just babbling yet? Got any pointers for how we can encourage him to imitate us? Pics below of his 1st birthday party, just for fun! 😁
