2nd Labor/Birth Stories ???

Question

I want to hear all about your second labor and delivery. Was it similar to your first? Totally different? Exact same? Did you do anything differently the second time?

My first was in the hospital. I was induced. Labor lasted 9 hours. The dr. gave me an episiotomy. 😑  I had back labor.
Second was at home in the water. 3.5 hours. no back labor bc i was able to move around. i had a 1st, almost 2nd degree tear but it wasn't too bad.
Third was at home in the water. 5 hours. My calmest labor. Played basketball in the 2nd hour and nursed my 2nd just an hour before I gave birth. very slight tear from my daughter's shoulders being stuck. no stitches. was walking around the neighborhood by day 2.
Having another home water birth in November.

Pretty similar. Woke up at the same time in the morning in labor. Didn’t think I was in labor for a while because my contractions were very irregular and I was pooping a ton (didn’t happen with my first) so I was like “contraction or poop pain??” When I couldn’t talk or walk I woke up my husband and toddler and out the door we rushed. Had some deja vu in triage when the nurse looked at the monitor and said word-for-word what a nurse said with my first, “oh wow your contractions are on top of each other, you’re not getting a break are you?” But it was ok, like my first, until I hit transition then oh lord the contractions got so f’n intense, way more painful than with my first. Started to feel some pressure and shit hit the fan, much like with my first. With both babies their HR dropped crazy low with each contraction and we needed to get them out ASAP. My first ended up needing the vacuum. Luckily I avoided the vacuum with #2, got him out as soon as I hit 10cm (midwife told me the next morning I was still 9.5 when she had me start pushing and she was about to call an emergency c-section). Had a 2nd degree tear with both. Pooped when I was pushing my second, didn’t poop with my first. Second was 45 minutes shorter than my first.

Had my membrane sweep at about noon. Had random light contractions throughout the day so I did squats  and butterflies on and off all day. Had sex around 1130 woke up around 1230 with consistent strong contractions and went into the hospital by 130, labored until 5:07, pushed for 6 minutes and little guy was born. When he was coming out the dr pulled too much and heard a huge popping noise from his hip. Baby was fine though with no complications

Completely different. 1st. Induced, no pain meds, vaginal delivery. 2nd csection (twins, baby b was bigger and in a position that could have been unsafe if that water broke and her cord came out first)

My second labor was so much quicker and smoother than my first! I barely made it to the hospital in time to push and labored for only 4 hours total. It was drug free and a small scrape, so much easier postpartum recovery.

Totally different.
First I went straight into active labour contractions every 5 minutes for 15 hours and it was awful, 2 hours of transitional and pushing later, baby girl was born.
Second went into early labour for a few hours, like one contraction every hour, active labour for a couple hours and got to the hospital went from 4 cm to delivery in less then an hour. 
Second one seemed so fast!

1st was 14 hours no meds all in the back water broke at 6 hours into labour , was pushing for 4 hours  40 weeks 1 day  ,,, 2nd was 6 hours no meds water broke just before I gave birth , pushed twice than he came 40 weeks 2 days

My first labor was horrible!! It was 24 hours, worst pain ever, my epidural didn’t work, I tore, he got stuck in the birth canal, and I lost a lot of blood. My second she decided that she wanted to be born at home in 20 minutes labor was much better. My third I had preterm labor so when I got to the hospital I was already 5 cm, the doctor broke my water and 2.5 hours later she was here. In my situation the more kids that I’ve had the labor has been better. Best of luck to everyone!!
