Anyone night potty train while still in crib?

Also tips for night training?!?

First I’ll say not my idea, lol! But my 2 yo has been begging to wear his undies to bed. He’s fully potty trained during the day for about 5-6 months. He still regularly wakes up wet and/ or dirty. He goes potty right before he goes to bed & we cloth diaper so it’s similar to pull-ups in that he can feel when he’s wet.

It doesn’t make sense in my mind to night train when he can’t get out of bed to go if he needs to. Right? so my plan has always been to wait until he’s at least in a toddler bed. I’m definitely not ready to switch beds, I’m hoping to wait until he’s at least 3 (he’s recently 2)
