Cake smash recipe?

Hi, 
My son’s first birthday is 11th July and I’m considering doing some cake smash photos for it. 
I obviously don’t want to buy a cake which will be full of sugar!!! Does anyone have a tasty recipe that isn’t packed with sugar?

Maybe do pancakes and whipped cream or something? You can make homemade whipped cream with little sugar and same with pancakes. I would also just Google it. Usually you can reduce sugar by a decent bit and not destroy the recipe

Cake is a sugar delivery system. That's all it is.  If you want a low sugar or no sugar option you can make something with splenda or an artificial sweetner but I wouldnt suggest that as a better option to be honest. 
I mean, it's for a cake smash photo session. It's a problem for your LO to have a few bites of birthday cake during the session?
