First appointment not until 12 weeks?!

I’m sorry if this had been asked before, but is it normal to have NO appointments, ultrasounds, or anything until 12 weeks?
Last time around I know I had an 8 week appointment with an ultrasound and we heard the heartbeat. We also did the early genetic testing at 10 weeks and this dr is saying we can’t do it until 12.
Loved my doctor last time but she has retired. :( Is it covid? Just this dr? Thoughts?

My first in-person appt isn't until June 29! I will be 13w2d! I have a phone appt at 8w6d. This is my first pregnancy and I'm pretty nervous. Especially when seeing that people have already had ultrasounds, etc.

Usually the first appointment is somewhere between 8 to 12 weeks. They want to touch base before the end of the third trimester. I was honestly surprised my OB office scheduled my first appt at 8 weeks and 1 day (I'm 6 weeks even today). With my first they were wanting an appt at 11ish weeks. You might could call and ask if they have any cancelations so make it earlier....last pregnancy I begged and got an earlier appt. I am "advanced maternal age" at the apparently ripe old age of 37, so maybe that factored in???

Living in the UK... I've got my first midwife appt at 6 weeks for blood tests ect but no ultra sound until 12 weeks or after unless you're not sure how far along you are.

I'm in uk and we literally have a booking in app around 8-10weeks but that's all paperwork no checks on baby nothing and then we have our 12 week app where the do bloods, ultrasound heartbeat ect.

My first, I didn’t go in until 12 weeks because they couldn’t get me in any sooner. 
This pregnancy, they booked an appointment at 10 weeks.

It depends on where you are and who is your dr. But where I am its 12 weeks also unless there is a reason to do the tests early.

With my first pregnancy my first appointment they waited until I was 12 weeks. Second pregnancy my first appointment was at 8 weeks. (2 different states though 1st was SC 2nd was MA)
