If you can time them then it’s the start. My last labor started as low back pain but then it came in waves and was able to be times. I went in for the back contractions when they were one minute long every 3-5 minutes but I was only at 3 cm so they had me wait 2 hours to be admitted when I had progressed to 5 cm. This time if I’m having the same back contractions I’ll wait until they turn into actual uterine contractions to go in.
Contractions?
Those of you who have had babies already, can you describe what your contractions felt like at first? I know it's different for everyone, but I need something to go off of! I've been having Braxton Hicks for months, where my stomach just tightens. It doesn't hurt at all, it just uncomfortable if I try to bend certain ways. Lately, I've been having some aches that come and go in my pelvis and low back, and my doctor said it could be contractions. They are still irregular and very far apart, but are these more similar to what actual contractions will feel like? TIA!
