Your￼ fiancé tells you something he’s been wanting to get off his chest, that 8 years ago he and your best friend had an affair. They both kept quit about it so they didn’t mess up everyone’s relationship. Are you staying with him? Is your best friend still your bestfriend ?

Honestly, I can see why you would be debating on what to do considering it was 8 years ago. BUT, that is a HUGE betrayal. I would not continue my friendship with her and I wouldn’t continue my relationship with him. Who knows what else he isn’t telling you. If i were you I would be extremely hurt that he was able to keep that a secret for as long as he did. How selfish. In the future if you decide to stay with him, you will never fully trust him.

Thats a long time for both if them to keep a nasty secret like that from you. Id be heartbroken and done with them both. Really fucking deceitful is that. If they can hide an affair for that long (even if it was over years ago) what else could they be hiding?

It happened years ago and if he only tells you now, he is obviously still affected by it, meaning he probably loves you a lot and doesn't want to hurt you but thinks you should know anyway.  Maybe a spur of the moment decision.
Give him at least a chance to explain himself.
