who had to wear a mask while in labor?

my doctor said they can’t “force” a mother to wear one while pushing but i’m like paranoid i won’t be able to breathe during painful contractions while wearing one too. i’m even getting tested two days before my scheduled induction and they still want you to wear a mask 🤐😭

I had to get tested at 38 weeks. It came back negative but they are still making my boyfriend and myself wear a mask during the process.. 
I’m not excited about it. I hate wearing the masks just for going to my doctor appts I cant imagine wearing one through labor.

They gave me a mask to wear prior to my c-section, but once I started vomiting, they took it off and never mentioned it again. Not sure if policies are different for vaginal deliveries or not.

I have to wear a mask while laboring. The only time I can take it off is when no staff are in my room. When they come in, it has to be on. Which means delivery. Ugh.

I was told by my dr. That I only have to wear a mask if I'm walking the hallway or leave my room. So I'll probably have to wear one when I initially go to check in and get settled and then if I walk the hallways during labor. I know some hospitals are making people wear them the whole time or "suggesting" they do. I personally couldn't see myself wearing one while pushing, hard enough to breathe while laboring and what not :P

I go in tonight and I am pretty sure I have to wear a mask. I think I will be allowed to take it off when I’m pushing because the staff will suit up and they may not get too mad if I take it off when there is no staff in the room but I’ll have to put it on if people come in.
