So I’m 10 weeks pregnant with my 1st baby and I had my first OB appointment at 6+4 due to some early spotting. She had to “squeeze” me in since it was kind of an emergency appointment. When I went she did a pap, scan, urine sample, and asked some health related questions. Other than that, she didn’t ask if I had any questions OR give me any advice. For example, she never mentioned that I should take a prenatal or what types of things to stay away from. She did give me a folder with some of that information, but never talked about it with me. Is this normal?? I’m not sure if it was just because I was squeezed in that she was rushed, but I feel like she should have given me some basic information/suggestions and given me time to ask questions, especially since she knows it’s my first pregnancy. Just want some advice bc I don’t know what the expectations should be and I don’t want to be too hard on her if this is normal.
