I Need help about 2 year old

The last week every time I pick her up as soon as I get her to my hip to hold her she grabs really hard like she's scared to death of being lifted up and she will grab whatever is available like my face or my hair or my neck or whatever and it is weird because she was never scared before and it's n not like her. And she grabs really hard like yesterday she death gripped my neck fat and it hurt so bad but I can't get it to stop happening
