What would you recommend for our next step?

We’ve had three chemical pregnancies in the past 12 months using clomid and are absolutely heartbroken. We switched to a new clinic and they said we should try either IUI or IVF and they’re ok with either option we want to pursue. What would you guys do? Money isn’t really an issue. What worked out better for you? Is IUI worth a try first?

I went straight into IVF, but everyone’s situation is different. We are male factor so iui really wasn’t an option for us. :) 
I have watched Desi Perkins on YouTube, check her out.  She had I believe 1 chemical and 1 miscarriage. Did 3 IUIs failed.. moved on to IVF PGS tested, and currently pregnant with her first. ❤️

If you had chemical pregnancies, then they are most likely due to chromosomal abnormalities. And I think in this case IUI won’t help too much, as it’s most likely the same as conceiving with at home intercourse(which you did have for becoming pregnant in the past) You can try it, if you want, so they can monitor you closely to see if lining is good, if progesterone levels are good etc. I’ve done 3 clomid cycles, 3 letrozole cycles and 2 of them were with double IUI. In my case didn’t work, so I didn’t want to waste more time and proceeded to IVF, with pgs testing for the embryos, so we could transfer a normal healthy embryo.

I’d say IUI is definitely worth a try first. Way less invasive, easier on the body and mentally, and more cost effective, even if money is no issue. I’ve read 3 IUI’s equals the same success rate as 1 round of IVF, but not sure how accurate that is 🤷🏼‍♀️ good luck 🍀

If you have male factor infertility I’d say don’t waste your time with IUI.  Those little guys won’t get anywhere unless injected right into the egg! My husband and I did IVF and ICSI and we currently have 5 frosties waiting for us to transfer! 
If you’re still unsure I’d say talk with your doctor a bit more and discuss your options in greater detail. IVF really isn’t that bad though. I’m surprised at how fast it went by and how easy it was.

That was my case. Only pregnant (and not having a chemical) after ivf with pgs testing.  If you’ve had 3 chemical pregnancies, I’d suggest you do the same because it is likely due to chromosome malformation.  Good luck!

I had 2 MC which is why I sought out fertility treatments. We tried iui 1st because all testing came back normal and RE was confident it would work. 2/3 cycles resulted in chemicals. RE suggested IVF at that point, hoping to at least learn more by watching the embryos grow. First transfer was a success. Unfortunately I lost 1 twin early on but was blessed with the other in December

Iui. I used Letrozole 7.5 mg. Cycle day 2 threw 6 And follistim 75 iu cycle day 6 &7 trigger shot cycle day 8 iui cycle day 10.

Hmmmm. Because they were chemical pregnancies I’d say IUI May possibly be worth a shot. Something very early on is happening in your body causing you to lose your babies. Could be something as simple as low progesterone. With IUI you are monitored very closely so most likely if something is wrong they’ll pick it up. However, if you are over 35 I would say move on to IVF because its likely most of your eggs will fertilize and divide abnormally & with IVF they can pick the best eggs for the highest chance of a healthy pregnancy. Your clinic should be able to give you accurate success rates for either depending on your personal diagnosis. Good luck 💜
