Week 29: I started my hypnobirthing classes a couple weeks ago. My homework was to draw my ideal birth. The first thing I thought of was a baby crowning...good thing I asked for clarification lol. She said more like what colors and scenery bring you positive emotions about how you want your birth to go. This artwork will be with you during your birth.
I had no idea what I was going to draw. While I was spiritually cleansing the house, in the baby’s room, I was guided to draw a sparrow as part of this homework. I’m not a bird person but I rolled with it. Sparrows symbolize joy, protection, and teamwork. Very appropriate.
The color sage green brings me a lot of peace. I included juniper sprigs because I love Sedona, AZ and it’s covered with juniper trees. It’s also a possible name contender.
The circular shape represents my womb. The orchid, my yoni, ready to give birth naturally, easily, quickly, and med free. ☾ This is my sacred birth art.
I’m really happy with how this turned out. I started on watercolor paper, then traced my sketch on my iPad and finished it. I’m way more comfortable on my iPad than traditional mediums lol.
