Desi Perkins Fertility Story

Hi ladies! I am 22 years old with no children, and I recently watched Desi Perkin’s journey with fertility treatments on YouTube. It really, really changed my perspective on things.

If you’ve struggled with fertility, gone through miscarriage, IUI, or IVF, my heart is with you. I truly could not imagine the daily struggle of managing extreme hormone fluctuations, the injections, and the hope and discouragement that comes along with the process. Desi was fortunate to get pregnant after her first round of IVF and is also wealthy enough to afford the treatments, but I know so many of you out there have probably endured multiple rounds and have struggled financially throughout the process.

I have not gotten pregnant or tried to get pregnant at this point, so all I know is that I am theoretically fertile. And so often I feel like I take for granted how easy it should be for me conceive someday when the time is right and I’m ready to be a mom. And I know so many others also take for granted their ease of pregnancy. I’m sure that’s difficult for you to see at times.

I just wanted to acknowledge the strength and the courage that all of you possess throughout your journeys of trying to conceive. I send all of you my thoughts and prayers and truly hope that everything works out for you. You are all so badass! 💞
