Anyone Home buying and delivering in same year?

Good morning!
I’m just interested to know how realistic it is to get pre approved for a home and expecting a new baby within a 5- month span? I really want to be in our house as we’ve been renters for years by time our babies are born (End of October/ beginning of November) anyone have any experience with this. I’d love all stories and advice no matter the length ☺️

Yes! With my first pregnancy. We were pre-approved in January, closed on our home in April and my daughter was born a month later! I had a really great experience. We had been renting an apartment and the only difficult part was packing/moving at 8 months pregnant lol

Yes! We found, bought, and closed on a house March last year, moved in April, and had baby #1 in June. Not to mention we painted the entire house, put up a diy shiplap like wall, built a bed frame, and painted the cabinets ourselves right before we moved in. It wasn’t easy but it was doable, and I think it helped get things done because I didn’t want to have to do anything after the baby was born.

Yes! We are selling and buying next week. We also have a toddler so wanted to get the big move out of the way before I was super pregnant, or before we had to end up waiting until we had two!

My only advice is don’t go for a new construction house/condo that isn’t already 100% finished. I wasn’t pregnant at the time, but the original ETA was May. Then June. Then August. 
We moved in October 3rd.

It took about 6 weeks for us to close on our house. We closed on April 5th and my csection was scheduled for April 19th. Needless to say my husband and his brothers did the whole move and painted the entire house so that we can move in after we got discharged from the hospital. There was a lot of rushing and some things that we didn’t get done but it was all worth it! The process of getting preapproved with the bank was simple, it was looking for a home that we loved which took the longest.

Congratulations on this exciting journey. As someone who bought a house on the day my baby was born it was really hard but if you close before delivering it's better in my opinion.

With my baby last year, I delivered him and a week later we moved, meaning we went through the buying process, and packing when I was SUPER pregnant, and very newly postpartum. We are now moving again in June, and thankfully I’ll only be about 17 weeks. It’s hard but so worth it.

We signed for our house on July 30th 2018 a d I gave birth to our 2nd son July 31st 2018. I dont remember any really issues... but it was kind.of a whirl wind.

We were preapproved for an amount we found our house a week later and closed a month after that. Our house was on the market for less than 24 hours when they accepted our offer. They go sooooo fast! So if you see what you want put in an offer ASAP.
