Help! Trouble with BC pill!

Hi guys, I really need some help/advice with my birth control because my doctor is unavailable.

So I’ve been on the pill (Ashlyna) for about two months, since the end of March. I never really saw a difference (aside from it avoiding my cycle) until about a week ago. My skin started to clear up and it successfully diverted my period I was supposed to have. Or so I thought.

Two days ago I started spotting and it kind of freaked me out because I never have before but I did some research and found out it is pretty common if you’ve been taking it for less than six months. Well this morning I started bleeding more actively, enough to where there was a single clot.

I’m not in any pain, but I’m worried because it’s somewhere between spotting and the regular flow of my period. I’m not supposed to take my week of period pills until a month from now, I’m still on the others. Thank you so much in advance for your replies!

Edit: is it also safe for my partner to finish inside of me while this spotting/breakthrough bleeding is happening? If it isn’t, how do you know if you’re pregnant while taking the pill?
