Could I still be pregnant ?

Ju

I got a bfp May 6, kept testing (yes, I know you don’t have to, but I liked seeing those two beautiful lines) and the lines kept getting darker, no indication anything was wrong.

Then I started spotting brown last Tuesday when I would have been 4w3d, the bleeding got a little heavier and red over the next few days, but never heavy enough to leave more that a maybe 3” spot on my panty liner. There were a few clots, but not particularly large ones. I didn’t cramp at all. I’m still spotting today, but it’s gone back to brown and is just on and off.

I generally have very light periods and this was maybe a little bit lighter than usual, but longer.

Given how light the bleeding was I would still be holding on hope that it was normal early pregnancy bleeding, but all of my early pregnancy symptoms stopped over the weekend so I’m pretty sure it was a chemical.

Out of curiosity I took another test today (because the bleeding was so light) and it’s still a very bold positive, just as dark as the last one I took before the bleeding started. I would have thought that my hcg would have lowered quicker than that?

Could I still be pregnant even though I bled for over a week and my symptoms disappeared or is my hcg just really really slow to drop for some reason?

My doctor is limiting visits because of Covid, but I have a follow up ultrasound and appointment next week, so I guess I’ll know for sure then.
