Cows milk or breast milk?

Question

Why are people so instant on giving cows milk at 12 months old? I thought one of the purposes of a freezer stash is so you can continue to give breast milk after they stop feeding directly from the breast? 
Wouldn't it make sense to use that and not cow milk?? I'm so confused!

My toddlers 2 soon and still hasn’t had milk. We just have breast milk until he weened at 22ish months

Yeah that confuses me too. If you have a stash of breast milk it’s better to use that! We are just now finishing my stash and my baby is 20 months. Still nursing too but no more pumping for me

I never plan to give cows milk. Oat milk instead

I’m using up my freezer stash before I switch to cows milk. It will probably be a few months at least, but I quit pumping when she turned one. I’m still breastfeeding too though.

I pump and have a stash of milk in the freezer so I can send it to daycare with my baby... when my first turned a year old, I stopped pumping, and started mixing cows milk in with breast milk a little at a time. I continued to send him to daycare with breast milk until my stash ran out, but he was also eating a lot of solids at that point, too, which he preferred over any milk.

You can use whichever one. I plan to use cows milk. Especially cause I never pump 🤷🏻‍♀️
