I’m currently 34 weeks and have had 3 UTIs this pregnancy. My doctor is now keeping me on Amoxicillin for the duration of my pregnancy then 6 weeks PP. Since stating the antibiotic, I have had a lot of vaginal itching. I talked to my doctor and she thought it was a yeast infection and prescribed me 2 doses of Diflucan. The itching got better but hasn’t gone away completely. I again talked to my doctor who suggested that if it was a yeast infection, the trial of Diflucan would have taken care of it. She suggested that it is due to an increase in sweating from hormonal changes (I know this is not the case for me) and suggested I try Vaseline for relief which isn’t helping. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and has any other recommendations?? I’m soooo uncomfortable 😣😭
