Sent home but in labor?

Ugh just got sent home from l&d at 3cm with contractions every 5 mins apart. Feeling not so hot about it tbh but have an appt in the morning so hopefully baby doesn’t decide to come before then

They sent me home with my daughter bc I was only 1cm, even tho I was having bad contractions for like 2 days prior. They won’t admit at my hospital until you’re like 5cm. I went back maybe 18 hours later when I wasn’t able to talk through them and I was just about 5cm.

I was sent home when I was in labour with my son because I was only 3cm dilated and they wanted me to be 4cm minimum to keep me in. I was at home for about half an hour before we left again, and I was dilated enough they kept me in that time. I also had back labour and I was in agony, they told me to take paracetamol 🙃.
Hospitals here don't keep you in unless your water is broken or you're either 4cm+ or 5cm+ (varies by hospital).

Same thing just happened to me last night. I went from 1cm 0 effacement to 3cm with 80% effacement overnight but they still sent me home and told me to come back when I can’t breathe through the contractions. They’re about 3/4 minutes apart too. It sucks so much but I’ve been doing a lot of walking so I’m hoping I don’t have to suffer much longer lol. Back labor is a bitch

This happened to me twice with my first. I got so fed up I had asked my midwife to induce me, but my water broke the night before my induction. Normally if you don’t dilate a certain amount in a set amount of time they won’t keep you. Unless you are over 4-5cm (depending on your hospitals policy).
