Percentile of baby?

Question

What does this mean? I am 28 weeks & my doc advised baby is in the 60% percentile. 
Also, how far along are you & do you know where your baby is regarding this measurement?

It means, it is 60% of average size of that age. And 50 is average. 
Nothing to worry, baby is just a bit bigger than other babies. Should worry if baby is ove 90%.

Baby is 60thpercent for size which is pretty close to average (average being 50%) meaning the baby is ‘bigger’ than 60% of other babies same gestational age. Im 29 weeks and baby is measuring 74th percentile for size and was 2 lbs 15 oz! Im surprised because my last 2 measured behind a bit(second was always 3 days behind and third was 10th precentile or less for size, but shes 22 months and less than 20 lbs now so shes kept the same growth pattern😂)

At my 22 week appt he was 85 percentile. My midwife explained it as: if I lined 100 babies up, 15 are bigger than him and the others are smaller. I can't do math to remember exactly what she said 😂

28w5 days today and this past Saturday I was in the 52 percentile. She’s weighting 2lbs 10oz as of Saturday 28 weeks  0 days.

50% is average, so your babe is a little bigger than average. Slightly! I would say that’s pretty perfect. 👍🏼
