What was your first IVF experience ??

Cycle Day one is due Saturday and meds will be on their way tomorrow!! I’m nervous anxious scared and don’t know what to expect! 
What can I expect going into an IVF Cycle and what was your experience!

I’ve done an egg retrieval, and I’m currently doing a long protocol for a transfer so I don’t know if I’ll be successful or not. 🙏
The meds for the retrieval were overwhelming at first, but you get used to them after a couple of days. It really helps to watch the videos to know how to mix them properly. I was on Menopur, Gonal F, Cetrotide, and Dexamethasone, then I did a double trigger. The Menopur was the only one that was stung a bit, so I used ice beforehand and it helped immensely. It also helps if you can have your husband do the injections. I’m 36 with DOR, but we managed to get 16 eggs, and after we tested them we had 4 normal embryos to freeze. The retrieval itself was easy, but I’ve heard it can be painful if you retrieve more eggs and your risk of OHSS goes up. Before and after my retrieval I drank lots of Ensure protein drinks and Drip Drop electrolyte powder in my water to also prevent OHSS. Good luck! Also, there are a few great IVF groups on here with lots of super supportive women going through the same thing so I highly recommend joining if you haven’t already!

Stay organized with your medications. Always always always ask questions if you're confused or just want to double check what you're doing is right.

I’m totally psyching myself out my period is never late and here I am 5 days late patiently waiting for it so I can start my IVF cycle. All my meds came in and I can’t do anything with them 🤦🏻‍♀️
