Name of a family member ?

We are thinking of using a boys name (if it’s a boy) but its my cousins middle name.. what do you think? My husband thought of the name and he was so proud and once I said it’s so and so’s middle name he was like never mind but now I love it!!

If you both love it just use it. Most people don't know or use middle names much  anyway.

I actually got confronted by my husbands fathers cousin because we plan on using the same name as my husbands cousins sons name 😂😂😂😂 I should’ve told her to shove it, but I politely (yet firmly) said we are keeping it. There’s no problem with reusing names and almost all people are honored.

I’m avoiding any name my first cousin or our siblings use for their kids, but a middle name seems fair game. Especially if it’s not an uncommon name. Technically one of our top boy names is my uncle’s name (by marriage), but he goes by the nickname and it’s a top 20 name etc. My husband isn’t concerned about that, so we shall see.

I have the same middle name as a 2nd cousin. Neither of us go by it. 🤷🏻‍♀️ 
I’d be meh if it was their first cousin and they were close in age, but even still. It’s a middle name. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

If you both like it you should use it! I know someone who had a Sophia and her brother liked it so much he called his daughter Sophia as well, the girls love sharing a name, and besides it's only your LO's cousins middle name so shouldn't be confusing.

We used my husband’s middle as our sons middle. It’s also my cousins first name. My cousin was soooo chuffed!! He said ‘best middle name ever!!’ It’s special for them!!
