I am 25 yrs old and was diagnosed with bi-polar 1 disorder 2 days after my birthday following a major break in my mental health the day prior to my birthday.

My psychiatrists put me on a mood stabilizer called Lamictal and, I take the highest dose possible to give everyday.

I never had any problems with it before but now it is spring.

Why is this important? (u may be asking).

Well, I have severe allergies and have to take allergy meds everyday during the spring. My lamictal and the allergy pill in combination make me very sleepy and I can’t get used to it.

As of right now I am a stay at home mom to a very busy one year old that needs constant supervision but, it is so so hard to keep my eyes open 😔.

Does anyone else taking this drug in combination with allergy meds experience this??

If so, have you stumbled across any way to stay awake and alert?

I will take almost any suggestions at this point.
